Price covers all meals, accommodation and course fee.

These retreats are structured so that maximum benefit comes from following an easy routine of meditation, rest, walks, group meetings with access to Maharishi’s profound knowledge, early nights and – much laughter!

Come and restock energy, vitality and positivity. The beautiful setting, the power of the collective meditations and Vedic wisdom and also the wonderful food, make a trip to this lovely part of Oxfordshire a uniquely worthwhile investment.

Food is vegetarian with vegan, gluten free and dairy-free available on request. Any other requirements can be brought.

To secure your place on the retreat, please read what follows carefully and do the needfull

  • Download, and fill in, the attached Booking form. Return it to me by mail with a deposit of £50 (non-refundable) in a cheque made out to TRISHULA TRAVEL to the address below:

  • Full payment for the retreat must be received by cheque by three weeks before the beginning of the retreat, please.
  • Priority will be given to those booking for the whole retreat. But if you wish to come on a retreat for less than the whole time, send in the booking form and deposit and your name will be put on a waiting list. I shall let you know three weeks before the retreat if there is a place for you; in the unlikely event there is not, your deposit will of course be returned to you.
  • Please Note:For the April retreat, please also email me to let me know you have booked as I shall be in India until shortly before the retreat.

All retreats start with tea at 4.00pm, with supper at 7.30pm on the first night, and they end after lunch on the last day.

Travelling to Charney Manor

Charney Manor, Charney Bassett, Wantage, Oxon OX12 OEJ; Tel: 0125 868206 Charney Manor stands on the south side of Charney Bassett, next to the village church, clearly signposted on the Lyford road.

a) By train: There are regular trains from Paddington, Oxford, Birmingham and the north to Didcot Parkway, the nearest mainline station about 12 miles from the Manor. Fast trains from Paddington take about 40 mins. Taxis are available from Didcot; if possible, those coming by train travel at the same time (usually the 14.15 arriving 14.56) so they can share the taxi which isn’t cheap (currently c. £24). BH CARS – 01235 200635 – provide a good service.

b) By road (for the satnavless) : From the midlands & north: Take the A34 ring road around Oxford and then follow the A420 towards Swindon. Keep on this road until about half a mile after the A415 roundabout (signed for Witney & Wantage) when you will come to a left hand turn signposted for Charney Bassett.

From London & the southeast: Take the M40 to oxford and follow the ring road south around the city until you reach the A40 junction for Swindon. Then follow directions as above.

From the southwest: Leave the M4 at junction 15, taking the A420 from Swindon towards oxford. About four miles after Faringdon, take a right turn signed to Charney Bassett.
